Pakistan Will Not Fight Any Other Country's War: Imran Khan

"We will not become part of a war of any other country [in future]".

Prime Minister Khan, in his address, said Pakistan will never fight any other country's war in future and his government's foreign policy will be in the best interest of the nation.

"Wherever there are overseas Pakistanis- the ones who helped me build Shaukat Khanum and Namal university- I am appealing to you to help us build the dams".

The Pentagon official reiterated USA military chief, General Dunford's remarks that the inter-military relationship is one that has remained in a place where some of the other relationships haven't.

"We have storage capacity of only 30 days while India has much more water storage capacity than us", he said in his second address to the nation since he assumed office of the prime minister.

Khan also praised the Pakistani armed forces for combating terrorism.

He said role of security forces and intelligence agencies in making the country safer against all threats was unparalleled.

Raising objections to Pakistan Army Chief General Javed Bajwa's remarks on Jammu and Kashmir, Shiva Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday hit out at the Narendra Modi-led government over its stance on the neighbouring country, saying India must respond with bullets and not talks.

Bajwa's comments came at a Defence Day function.

Earlier, Prime Minister Khan expressed desire to promote cooperation with the neighbours and the rest of the world.

"The resolution of Kashmir issue according to the United Nations resolutions was indispensable", he said.

In his address at the Defence Day ceremony at Army headquarters in Rawalpindi on Friday, Imran said he had been against the involvement of Pakistan in foreign wars from the very first day.

Events were held across the country to pay tribute to the armed forces. The day is being celebrated across the country with army leading the Defence Day activities.
