Mac Miller Dead at 26 of Apparent Drug Overdose

Miller has had issues with substance abuse in the past and Grande cited that as one reason for the breakup, TMZ reported.

He was later charged with driving under the influence and driving with a BAC of over.08.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet Miller - born Malcolm McCormick - was found at his home in the San Fernando Valley around 12 p.m.

The Pittsburgh native recently dated pop singer Ariana Grande, who he also recorded the song "The Way" with in 2013. According to the official, Miller and his two passengers fled the scene on foot. He was due in court Sept 11. However, he said he was focused on his new album, Swimming, which dropped in August.

The 26-year-old was arrested in May in connection with a DUI crash. Later that year, he released his debut studio album Blue Slide Park, which topped the Billboard charts and eventually went certified gold.

He was preparing to launch a US tour for his latest album "Swimming" that was scheduled to kick off in San Francisco on October 27.
