Kovacic: Chelsea and Sarri Believe in Me

Maurizio Sarri smirked as he revealed that he is giving up smoking cigarettes, having been repeatedly questioned on his habit since moving to Chelsea.

After Belgium's best-ever World Cup campaign in Russian Federation, which ended with them finishing in third place, the 27-year-old forward hinted that his time could be coming to an end in west London. They will nearly certainly achieve that should they perform with the cleverness and skill in attack that did for Arsenal but, equally, they could come unstuck should they display the naivety in defence that allowed Unai Emery's side to get back into the contest before half-time.

Tammy Abraham made a huge impression while on-loan at Bristol City in the Championship, but failed to deliver for Swansea City last season - seeing the south Wales club relegated and the 20-year old registering just eight goals in 39 appearances with the Swans.

In a tighter second half, neither side could carve out as many chances but Alonso settled the game when Belgium winger Eden Hazard, on as a substitute, carved open the Arsenal defence for the Spanish defender to finish in Sarri's first home game in charge.

The former Inter man's qualities were on show following his introduction on Saturday evening.

Arsenal coach Unai Emery, who also moved to London this summer to replace Arsene Wenger, said he took positives from the defeat. "Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup - but I'm happy here".

Shots fired outside US Embassy in Turkey
The US embassy spokesman David Gainer confirmed to Agence France-Presse that a "security incident" had taken place. A bullet mark was clearly visible on a security booth at the embassy, an AFP journalist at the scene reported .

"I'm good where I am now", added Hazard.

"But I think in the second half, since the beginning, we were the best team and it was deserved for us". "I am going to stop for just one or two years then I will start again". That's [regular game time] what I really need now.

"Looking at the Arsenal team, not one of their players would get in Maurizio Sarri's best XI".

That is probably not saying much about how long Sarri expects to remain at Chelsea, but the club is hardly renowned for sticking with managers.

Chelsea clinched all three points against Arsenal in what was a thrilling and intriguing game of football at the Stamford Bridge yesterday after their opening-day win over Huddersfield Town.

The Real target admitted it would be weird for Chelsea to allow him to go without being to sign a replacement.
