Kevin Richardson, a member of the Backstreet Boys who were slated to play Saturday night at Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla. tweeted around 6:30 that a tent collapsed and some people seeking shelter there were injured.

'However, about 150 patrons who were standing in line for the Backstreet Boys concert did not heed staff's warnings'.

At about 5 p.m., as severe weather moved into the area, Winstar officials evacuated the venue and asked fans to take shelter from the storm, the casino said.

The storm knocked down "entrance trusses" due to 70 to 80 miles per hour winds and injured 14 people, according to the casino. At least 14 people were taken to area hospitals, some of them rushed away on stretchers. Two of the injured concertgoers have already been released.

The injured were treated at the scene by Love County, Oklahoma, paramedics and others who responded along with police and highway patrol officers.

The 90s group, made up of Richardson, Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Howie Dorough all confirmed the gig was cancelled.
