Now, the company has officially confirmed to launch its first POCO-branded smartphone on August 22nd in India. An unboxing video, published by Slashleaks, shows the Pocophone F1 will sport a notch on the front and a premium design. The smartphone is expected to comes with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and is claimed to be backed by a 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The highlight, however, is the inclusion of liquid cooling technology - commonly used for keeping a check on temperatures of the phone during a prolonged use or longer sessions of gaming. Also, an FCC listing had given nearly everything about the alleged Poco F1, even before that. Whatever the case may be, the poster does indicate that the Pocophone F1 will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 processor. Recently it feels like the pace of innovation in the smartphone industry has slowed down, while prices are creeping up with flagship smartphones now past the $1000 mark. Get ready for break-neck speed.

More than peak performance, more than speed - the best of smartphone innovation is nearly here.

The POCO sub-brand by Xiaomi is targeted at offering flagship-level smartphones at an affordable price. The POCO F1 will be the same POCOPHONE F1 which was previously leaked online.

La Liga, free and on Facebook in eight countries including India
Social media giant Facebook has bought the exclusive rights to broadcast La Liga matches in the Indian sub-continent. Earlier this year, Amazon won rights to show 20 English Premier League matches a season from 2019 in Britain.

Additionally, the upcoming flagship will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage and will be running the Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI update.

In comparison, OnePlus 6 is available in India starting Rs 34,999.

The FCC approved the POCOPHONE brand back in July and the listing revealed that the phone will be packing a 6.4-inch screen with reduced bezels, meaning a lot of screen real estate in return. A leaked image allegedly showing the label from the phone's retail box revealed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform.
