It's our first real glimpse at The Romanoffs, as Amazon's first teaser merely highlighted the names of the talent involved in the show. Every episode will feature a new location along with a brand new cast.

Amazon Studios has shared the trailer for The Romanoffs, the star-studded anthology series helmed by Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner. "There's great debate about who is a Romanoff and what happened to the Romanoffs", Weiner previously shared with our sister site Variety.

The drama follows "eight separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family".

The ensemble cast also includes Academy Award-nominee Isabelle Huppert, Diane Lane, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, Andrew Rannells, Mike Doyle, JJ Field, Paul Reiser, Kathryn Hahn, Ben Mies, Mary Kay Place, Griffin Dunne, Ron Livingston, Jon Tenney, Clea DuVall, Radha Mitchell, Hugh Skinner, Juan Pablo Castañeda, Emily Rudd, Adèle Anderson, Annet Mahendru, Hera Hilmar, Michael O'Neill and David Sutcliffe.

The highly anticipated original contemporary anthology series, The Romanoffs, is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video Friday, October 12 with new episodes released weekly, on Fridays.

Again, you could see how The Romanoffs might prove too sprawling - what with all the characters and locations - but the series is in good hands, and we can't wait to see how this royal (or not) nonsense pans out.

The first episode, titled "The Violet Hour", stars Martha Keller, Aaron Eckhart, Ines Melab and Louise Bourgoin.

The behind-the-scenes creative team features an array of consummate artists including Director of Photography Chris Manley (Mad Men), Costume Designers Janie Bryant (Mad Men) and Wendy Chuck (Spotlight), Production Designers Chris Brown (Mad Men) and Emmy victor Henry Dunn (Mad Men).
