In her new tell-all Unhinged, she writes that a tape exists of Trump saying the n-word during his Apprentice days, though she claims not to have heard it. Why did John Kelly, who has a large, private office, feel that was the best place to fire her?

"Instead of telling the truth about all the good President Trump and his administration are doing to make America safe and prosperous, this book is riddled with lies and false accusations", Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement, as reported by CNN.

In the aftermath of the violence, President Trump faced backlash when he said there was "blame on both sides" of the clashes.

At an event on August 11 President Donald Trump told reporters "She's a lowlife", when asked about Newman, who first rose to prominence on "The Apprentice" series.

"We have Ja'Ron, who's done a fabulous job, been very involved with - he's been very involved with Jared Kushner and President Trump on prison reform from the beginning", Conway said. Since leaving the White House in December, she has penned a book, which she is now promoting.

He can be heard in another clip suggesting a smooth exit would help her reputation, a remark that Manigault Newman told NBC she took as a threat.

Todd also addressed allegations that President Trump said the N-word on tape.

On Sunday, Manigault Newman did not address those issues. His comments Sunday come as some have speculated he may be willing to cooperate with investigators and turn on Trump.

Trump’s Supreme Court nominee to have confirmation hearing September 4
Opening statements will take place on September 4, and the Senators will begin questioning Kavanaugh the following day. Grassley said he expects the hearing to last three or four days, CNN reported. "He'll get confirmed.

Privately, many are wondering how many tapes she might have - and whether they are heard speaking on them.

Ms Manigault Newman had indeed been a staunch defender of the President for years, including pushing back, as the highest-profile African-American in the White House, on accusations that he was racist.

"I was complicit with this White House deceiving this nation - they continue to deceive this nation", she said.

Newman was the most prominent, high-level black in the West Wing as Trump's director of communications for the White House office of public liaison.

On Saturday, Trump blasted Newman as a "lowlife" in response to questions from reporters about her claims.

Newman told NBC's Chuck Todd she has "no regret" over her recording and if she hadn't made it "people would still believe the false, incredible story that I was running around the White House ... that I tried to charge the residence of the White House".

This official says the White House doesn't know everything the former staffer has claimed because it appears they have not seen a copy of the book.

White House aides are exploring what punishment she could face for the purported recording in the Situation Room and in the building, according to a senior administration official.
