A fan site of Pokemon Let's Go released images from the CoroCoro magazine prior to its publication which has confirmed the arrival of Mega Evolutions in Pokemon Let's Go, Pikachu, and Eevee. It's now unknown how many Mega Evolutions will feature in the game, but it's a pretty safe bet that all the Kanto evolutions will be present. The magazine shows off three Mega Evolutions with Mega Venusaur, Mega-Charizard X & Y, Mega Blastoise. Additionally, the recent CoroCoro scans revealed the third gym that is led by Lt. Surge for the first time. Mega Evolution, known as "the Evolution that transcends Evolution", momentarily unleashes the energy within a Pokemon and can only be accomplished when a strong bond exists between the Pokemon and its Trainer. The Mega Evolutions are popular increasing a Pokemon's statistics in the battle.

In Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee!, players will be able to Mega Evolve a Pokemon once per battle if they have a Key Stone and the Mega Stone corresponding to that specific Pokemon. As for the rest of the game's most recent trailer, it provides a few brief glimpses at classic Pokemon locations and encounters like the S.S. Anne and Lt. Surge. For now, it isn't clear if there will be any new mega forms introduced in Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee! or not. They also showed off nefarious Team Rocket members Jessie and James, which will engage players in double battles.
