Things are heating up in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's child support case. In a brief filed to the Superior Court of the State of California obtained by InStyle, Pitt's lawyer calls Jolie's filing "unnecessary" and "a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage".

According to TMZ, Angelina filed legal documents asking a judge to issue a final divorce decree and force Brad to pay child support for their children, as well as retroactively pay for what he has allegedly missed as per an informal agreement.

Brad Pitt is having a hard time with his ex Angelina Jolie's decision to make their divorce battle public again and he's furious over the fact that it's negatively affecting their kids.

CNN has reached out to both Pitt and Jolie's representatives for comment.

Brad's lawyers have responded to Angelina's latest attack where she claimed in legal docs he hasn't paid "meaningful child support" since their split in September 2016.

Pitt, 54, and Jolie, 43, began dating in 2004 after meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith the previous year. "A loan is not; however, child support and to represent it as such is misleading and inaccurate".

Erdogan replied that Turkey will not back down despite Trump's sanctions policy and said he would answer with mirror retaliation. Brunson was among many foreign nationals detained by Turkish President Erdogan in the wake of a failed 2016 coup attempt.

But Pitt says he has given Jolie $1.3m (e1.1m) and lent her another $8m since their separation.

Friends of Pitt have been rallying to his defense, denying he is not helping to provide for the six kids he shares with Jolie - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Separate sources told Page Sixthat theWorld War Z star has spent "millions for therapists" for their brood, as well as forked out for their travel expenses and round-the-clock bodyguards.

The divorce filing, citing irreconcilable differences, triggered a bitter custody dispute during which Pitt was investigated and cleared of child abuse. Jolie's attorney, Samantha Bley DeJean, made less than nice claims about Pitt and his child support payments.

But the battle is less about money than it is custody of their brood and how much time each gets with them.
