Today, Sony Santa Monica revealed when New Game Plus will arrive, and it's going to be here in just a couple of weeks.

To find out more about God of War, keep an eye on its website. Don't forget that you'll have to finish the game at least once before you can access these new features and guide Kratos and Atreus on their journey again in a more hard setting.

Sounds fairly meaty as far as New Game Plus modes go! You can set it to the same difficulty or choose a new one.

If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, there's still time to pre-order the game on Amazon ahead of its release this fall. One of the most intriguing aspects of the new footage is the outlaw camp that will serve as Morgan's home during the game.

It's not as if you need a reason to revisit the masterpiece that is God of War, but PlayStation is giving you one anyway with a New Game+ mode for the epic adventure. The update also allows players to skip cutscenes once they've played through the game. You'll start the journey over with all of your previous armors, enchantments, talismans, resources, and abilities. It's not entirely clear whether that means that we'll see new enemies on top of old ones, but the team did suggest that numerous game's old enemies will be packing some "new tricks up their sleeves". Only within a New Game Plus playthrough, you'll be able to access a new rarity level and upgrade your armor by collecting a new resource called "Skap Slag".

Sony Santa Monica says that enemies will be higher level, and that some enemies will approach combat with new strategies and abilities.

Lastly, the studio also confirmed that you will be able to skip cinematic moments in God Of War when this new update hits.
