"Fahrenheit 11/9"'s release comes just ahead of the USA mid-term elections, with Moore looking to spread anti-Trump messaging and insight into his politics. He later introduces Trump as "the last president of the United States" as a shot of Trump flashing a menacing glance at the camera appears onscreen.

The trailer includes footage of Trump rallies, neo-Nazi protests, Roger Stone, Parkland shooting survivors, and Moore himself hosing down the gated lawn of MI governor Rick Snyder with water from Flint. Now, Moore is back with Fahrenheit 11/9, a film that focuses on the Trump Administration. "That all ends with this movie".

Speaking to RTÉ Entertainment in 2016 on the eve of the release of his last film Where to Invade Next Moore advised Irish people to ridicule Trump on a planned but subsequently cancelled visit to Ireland.

It's the latest offering from Moore aimed directly at the effect of Trump following on from his filmed one-man talk Michael Moore in TrumpLand and his Broadway show The Terms of My Surrender.

And you don't need a Michael Moore documentary to tell you that; American social and political division is apparent on the nation's news channels which, in unison, have become a cacophany of opinion, spin and argument. "Our media has no idea what it is up against", he continued.

"If nothing else, I hope this film exposes that grave danger and shows people the way out", he added. The doc, a sort of sequel to Moore's anti-W film Fahrenheit 9/11 is set to hit theaters September 21, a date chosen by Moore to spread the anti-Trump word before the mid-term elections.

Fahrenheit 11/9 refers to the day that Trump was officially announced as the next US president, and the title seems to liken his election to have had as much of an impact on the country as the September 11 attacks did.
