At Least Four Killed in Canada Shooting

Police in the eastern Canadian city of Fredericton, New Brunswick say at least four people have been killed after a shooting.

The force said on its Twitter feed that the "incident is ongoing", and confirmed at least four people have died. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear at this point.

"Fredericton Police are responding Brookside Drive area".

Fredericton is a city of roughly 58,000 about 75 miles from the ME border.

Police continue to have the Brookside area contained for the foreseeable future as the investigation is ongoing.

"With the tempo, it might've been a gunshot", he said.

However, the striker then opted to return to Deportivo on loan last season in search of more regular first-team football . The 29-year-old joined the Gunners two years ago but spent the entirety of last season on loan at former club Deportivo.

"It was sort of like a pop, pop, pop, pop".

But officials warned that the incident was "still active" and urged residents to stay inside and lock their doors.

About five minutes later, he could hear similar noises near his home.

The Canadian broadcaster CBC reported that the shooting happened in a residential area of the city and that paramedics and firefighters were on the scene.

The Winnipeg native, who lives immediately off Brookside, said residents have been advised to stay inside with their doors locked. But a proliferation of weapons has led to an increase in gun crimes in recent years.
