"It hurts when you are not scoring runs (and) as well, the team is not doing well", Kohli said ahead of the crunch clash at the hone of cricket.

Preview: England will be without Ben Stokes while India could make changes too for the second Test at Lord's on Thursday. "They want the big occasion and that brings out the best in their cricket", he added.

It proved beyond the tourists, despite Kohli making 51 to follow his first-innings 149 - the star batsman's maiden Test century on English soil. He also amassed 9779 runs in 211 ODIs at 58.2 and 2102 runs at 48.8 in 62 T20Is.

England and India were left frustrated at Lord's with persistent rain wiping out the whole of day one of the second Test.

Neither side made 300 in the match, England posting 287 before India replied with 274 in the first innings.

Russia: 'Horror' if Georgia joins NATO
The results of the referendum for joining North Atlantic Treaty Organisation supported 77% of Georgian voters. North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders discussed ties with Georgia at their summit in Brussels in July.

"It doesn't matter whether I get (over) the line or Jinks (Ajinkya Rahane) does or (Murali) Vijay does or KL (Rahul) does or whoever does".

Virat Kohli has jumped to the defence of India's batsmen, believing that all they need to do to fix their issues is show greater composure. He was well supported by pacers Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami.

"It's a tempting thought to field two spinners, then again we will have to take a call on that depending on the team balance, but it's definitely in contention". Stokes, who picked up four wickets during India's second innings, is trying to clear his name in court after being charged with affray following a brawl in September 2017, while Malan has been dropped due to poor performance. They may go in for a like-for-like replacement with the inclusion of pace-bowling all-rounder Chris Woakes, who has recovered from an injury.

Apart from this decision, England's bowling line-up looks set with James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Sam Curran and Adil Rashid. Just one of England's last 28 Test matches to have been played on home soil has ended in a draw (W18, L9); Joe Root's men have claimed victory in six of their last eight in England (L2). That said, given the nature of the pitch at Lord's and England spin troubles, the visitors might play Kuldeep Yadav alongside Ashwin.
