NASCAR head Brian France was busted Sunday evening in the Hamptons for drunken driving and drug possession, according to cops - after reportedly name-dropping President Trump to try to get out of the arrest.

Sag Harbor Village Police pulled over France at 7:30 p.m. after he ran a stop sign while driving his 2017 Lexus down Main Street, Sgt. Robert Drake said in a news release.

Police said France smelled of alcohol and slurred his words during the traffic stop. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court Sept 14. Cops say during the stop, they found oxycodone pills during a search of his person. His grandfather William HG France founded the organisation, while his father, Bill Jr, also served as CEO until he stepped down in 2000.

His lawyer referred reporters to a NASCAR statement on the matter.
