Dave Bautista rips Disney for firing ‘Guardians 3’ writer James Gunn

For Bautista, the decision apparently hinges on whether Gunn's script is used, as opposed to whether the director is explicitly rehired to film the movie.

The whole cast of Guardians Of The Galaxy came out in support of director James Gunn after his recent firing - but Dave Bautista has been the most vocal since day one.

He's been the most outspoken of all Guardians of the Galaxy cast members (by quite some distance), and believes Disney made a grave mistake when they chose to part company with ousted director James Gunn late last month.

Metro UK have contacted Dave Bautista's reps for comment.

Bautista tweeted on Sunday that 'Guardians of the Galaxy without James Gunn just isn't Guardians of the Galaxy'. However, he also says its "nauseating" to work for Disney when they're playing into a "smear campaign" led by fascists and "cybernazis".

Gunn was sacked after a handful of almost decade-old tweets resurfaced in which he made lewd jokes pertaining to pedophilia and rape.

TSMC says a number of fab tools infected by computer virus
Currently, we don't know what impact, if any, this virus will have on the production of the new iPhone or on TSMC in general. Apple designs the processors that go into its devices, but it uses TSMC as its exclusive partner for producing the chips.

Bautista, who has of course played the scene-stealing Drax the Destroyer in three films to date, has acknowledged the inappropriate tone and content of Gunn's decade-old tweets while simultaneously arguing that they don't represent the person he knows Gunn to be.

Asked by a fan on Twitter what he plans to do if Gunn is not reinstated, he replied: "I will do what Im legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for".

Meanwhile, Kurt Russell, who played Ego in Vol. 2, discussed Gunn's firing in a new interview with Variety.

Whatever your opinion on the Gunn incident, you have to hand it to Bautista for being courageous enough to stick his neck out like this. "He has a wonderful heart and a wonderful mind".

He said: "It's sad. But I hope it opens people's eyes to James' character".
