Cruz's attorneys had wanted it suppressed, saying its disclosure could hinder his right to a fair trial. This is - don't even laugh at me. His public defenders have said that they would accept a deal from prosecutors to send Cruz to jail for life.

The unredacted report says that the school district failed to provide Cruz with special-needs assistance they were legally required to give him on two separate occasions leading up to the shooting in February. Asked what the voice said, Cruz replied, 'Burn.

Cruz has been charged with 34 counts of premeditated murder and attempted murder. "It's just regular me just trying to be a good person".

Instead, Michael J. Satz, the state attorney, is seeking the death penalty.

When the officer briefly left the room to look for water anyway, Cruz said to himself: "Kill me, just kill me".

All of this was no surprise for Ho-Shing, who said she's thought about what should happen to Cruz.

The transcript revealed for the first time what Cruz told police following the mass shooting, including that he blamed a "demon" voice inside his head for his actions.

Donald Trump’s Walk Of Fame Star To Be Removed
The decision comes after The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce had previously stated it would never remove a star over backlash. In 2016, 53-year-old James Lambert Otis used a jackhammer and pickaxe to desecrate the star.

Cruz also said he tried to kill himself by drinking because he was lonely, and with an over-the-counter pain reliever after his mom died.

17 people died at the shooting: 14-year-old student Alyssa Alhadeff, 35-year-old teacher Scott Beigel, 14-year-old student Martin Duque Anguiano, 17-year-old student Nicholas Dworet, 37-year-old assistant football coach Aaron Feis, 14-year-old student Jaime Guttenberg, 49-year-old athletic director Christopher Hixon, 15-year-old student Luke Hoyer, 14-year-old student Cara Loughran, 14-year-old student Gina Montalto, 17-year-old student Joaquin Oliver, 14-year-old student Alaina Petty, 18-year-old student Meadow Pollack, 17-year-old student Helena Ramsay, 14-year-old student Alexander Schachter, 16-year-old student Carmen Schentrup, and 15-year-old student Peter Wang. "You're all going to die".

He said he had initially planned to shoot people in a park two to three weeks before the actual school shooting, but he couldn't go through with. The voice was quelled by physical activity, Cruz said, or by taking Xanax - which he bought off the streets illegally years earlier, he said - or smoking marijuana.

"Burn, kill, destroy what?" the detective asked. Cruz, who worked as a cashier at a Dollar Tree and had inherited money from his mother when she died four months earlier, estimated the collection had cost him about $4,000.

Cruz replied: 'Yes, it did'.

The transcript shows Cruz telling the Detective John Curcio that he started hearing a voice in his head for years, since after his father died. Though Cruz's mother agreed with the recommendation, he was at that time a legal adult and made a decision to stay at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
