Two elderly men escaped their nursing home to go to a heavy metal music festival.

If that isn't goals we're not sure what is.

After being alerted by the nursing home, authorities reportedly located the missing pair at a casual 3 a.m.at the festival - that's when the last stages finish up for the night, so these guys are pretty hardcore.

The two elderly men were discovered by police at Wacken Open Air at around 3am in the morning in a state that a police spokesperson called "disoriented and dazed".

Unsurprising enough, the men were reluctant to leave the four-day event so police had to escort them home with the help of a taxi and a patrol auto.

S.Sudan's Kiir vows power sharing deal with rival will hold
Thousands of people have died in the 2013 civil war after troops loyal to the rebel Machar clashed with government troops. The deal also provides for 35 ministries during the transitional period.

Sure, it wasn't the outcome they were hoping for, but getting a police escort back to a nursing home is pretty badarse. And potentially getting involved with a mosh pit or two.

Heavy metal fans around the world have hailed the pair for their daring act.

While each year attracts some of the biggest names in hard rock and metal, this year's festival featured a huge lineup that included the likes of Danzig, Cannibal Corpse, Judas Priest, Children Of Bodom, and for some reason, the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Police praised all the people attending the worlds largest metal festival and said that apart from some drug seizures, the crowd was incredibly well behaved.
