Meghan Markle steals the show at Prince Harry's friends wedding

The 53-year-old took to her private Twitter to rant about the Duchess of Sussex and urge her to send her own birthday wishes to their father, Thomas Markle, who turned 74 two weeks ago. Her engagement outfit - a frothy, transparent Ralph & Russo gown fit for the red carpet was an estimated £58,000.

In another tweet, she called Meghan, "Witchy Poo". The criticism of her new subdued style started on her wedding day, when many dismissed her dress as "boring", and accused her of playing it safe.

On her 37 birthday, her first as an official royal, the stylish Duchess of Sussex accompanied her husband Prince Harry to his best friend's wedding at St Mary the Virgin Church in Frensham, Surrey.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may not be rocking the fashion boat, but they are going against royal protocol by often holding hands and kissing in public.

According to the United Kingdom tabloid The Mirror, well-wishers sang "Happy Birthday" as Meghan arrived.

Meghan styled up her pleated colour-block dress with a Kayu bag, a Philip Treacy hat, Aquazzura shoes, bracelet by Saud Leane.

Thomas also gave a speech at the wedding, straight after Prince Harry and is one of Princess Charlotte's godfathers. The newest member of the royal family didn't seem to mind sharing her birthday with her pal's wedding day at all.

According to Pure Wow, Prince Harry has sparked a beard renaissance, and the sales for beard-care products like razors and oils have skyrocketed a whopping 226 percent in the last couple of years.

Prince Harry hasn't been bare face for a while.

Meghan and Harry do not have an official commitment now until September. Markle was known for her humanitarian work prior to meeting Harry, serving as the global ambassador for World Vision and working with the United Nations on women's issues.

The next year could also be one that brings an expanded family for Meghan and Harry, now aunt and uncle to William and Kate's three young children.

While Meghan won't have to pop down to the shops like us, she has sported Givenchy several times since her wedding, most memorably at Royal Ascot in a black and white ensemble. "Why would I stop living because we have a family issue going on?"
