I am ready for that.

Putin told reporters on Friday: "We need for the appropriate conditions to exist, to be created, including in our countries" for more U.S. -Russia summits. "We are ready for such meetings".

Putin had said earlier Friday during a meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, that he was ready to invite Trump and also ready to visit Washington if conditions are right. By all means. By the way, he has such an invitation, I told him about that...

US intelligence agencies concluded previous year that Moscow waged an influence campaign to help Trump win the White House by hacking into Democratic Party computers and using fake social media accounts to denigrate Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The last time Trump was in the Russian capital was in 2013, to attend a Miss Universe beauty pageant.

Referring to the proposal for a meeting in the United States, Putin said: "I am ready to go to Washington".

The White House said no agreements were reached in the one-on-one meeting with Putin other than having national security teams meet. "So, despite all the complications, and in this case, the difficulties in USA domestic political climate, life goes on and our contacts continue".

But when the logistical decision was made to have Trump travel by motorcade in 'The Beast, ' there was no longer an opportunity for the president to take questions.

Trump drew fire for his handling of Russian Federation after he appeared to side with Putin's denials of election interference at a press conference following the summit.

It started with a kiss: how Jean-Claude Juncker wooed Donald Trump
On a separate trade issue, Trump on Monday said he's heading toward a "dramatic" deal with Mexico, without giving more details. The two agreed to hold off on further rounds of tariffs and committed to work toward a new bilateral trade deal.

President Trump met with Russia's President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on July 16.

Putin, who has ruled Russian Federation for most of the last two decades, also lauded Mr. Trump for what he said was a unique quality in a politician; keeping his promises.

The pair met last week for closed-door talks in Helsinki. "We are not going to comment further on security procedures". Russian Federation and the United States have a stake in that, the whole word has a stake in that, in not starting an arms race.

He said: "Yes, we have contacts on a working level, but sometimes that's not enough".

Turning to efforts to resolve conflicts in the Middle East, Putin said: "Will we talk about these issues at the highest political level, or do we think it's a secondary issue?"

On July 16, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, a Russian daily paper, ran an article titled, "The U.S. Offers to Unite with Russia Against Iran and China", concluding from hints at the Helsinki summit that Trump plans to enlist Russia to help counter China's threats in trade and geopolitics.

"It's a subject for debate and negotiations".
