In fact, in the Book of Revelation chapter 6 verses 11 - 13, where verse 12 says: "And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great quake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood".

Slooh will broadcast the entire lunar eclipse on its YouTube channel, which should go live at 1:00 p.m. EDT (17:00 UT).

On December 26 next year, people in Brunei will be experien-cing a partial solar eclipse when the moon passes in front of the Sun. Although there isn't any scientific reason behind these, it has been firmly engraved in our culture that the rays, which are more powerful during the eclipse, can affect the baby inside the womb. This is much longer than standard lunar eclipses which last for only around one hour. During this eclipse, the Moon will pass through the central part of the Earth's umbral shadow.

This full moon in July is also known as the Full Buck Moon and the Thunder Moon, occurring when a male deer's antlers are in full growth and at a time of frequent thunderstorms, according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.

The total lunar eclipse will be fully visible in Delhi. That also places it closest to Earth.

The view of the eclipsed moon and the sun is possible, weather allowing, because the rays of light from the sun and moon refract, or bend, around the earth's atmosphere.

Rangers trade Cole Hamels to Cubs
Hamels carried a 3.61 ERA at the end of June, before a rough July (1-3, 11.12 ERA) sent his ERA climbing and his price dropping. In his last home start for Texas before the deadline, Hamels allowed seven runs on Monday night against Oakland.

At the same time, Mars will hover near the moon in the night sky, easily visible with the naked eye.

With scientists recently announcing the exciting discovery of a "lake" hidden below ice on Mars' south pole, the Red Planet is seemingly capitalizing on the exciting news by coming closer to Earth than it has in 15 years. This happens about every 26 months. People can view the moon between 11.30 p.m. and 3 a.m. depending on conditions in the sky. Not only will we be able to observe the eclipse for the longest time in our probable lifetimes, at the end of it, we can just turn our telescopes around and watch Mars make its closest approach to us! In 2003, Mars came closest to our planet in nearly 60,000 years. "However, a layperson who might expect to see dramatic details of the surface of Mars would probably be disappointed".

In a special treat, Mars is in opposition on Friday.

The next total eclipse of the moon will occur on Sunday, January 20, 2019. The meteor shower is usually active between July 17 and August 24 and will peak on on the night of August 12 and early morning hours of August 13.

The eclipse will be visible from most of Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Africa and South America. The Penumbral Eclipse begins at 22.44 PM IST on July 27. Total eclipses-like the one we're due for-happen when the trio is in a completely straight line, and no light from the sun can directly reach the moon. Look for it just under the moon.

The lunar eclipse can be seen from anywhere on the night side of Earth. Amateur astronomers will guide people about the eclipse.
