Mi Max 3: "A larger 6.9" phablet with a huge 5500mAh battery

The device is now available for registrations and will be on sale starting July 20th. The company has revealed the design and specifications through teaser images.

The Mi Max 3 comes in three color variants for now- Gold, Blue and Matte Black. The smartphone sports a 6.9-inch Full HD + IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a 79.8% screen-to-body ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio that reproduces bright and vivid colors and is also paired with wide viewing angles.

Xiaomi expands its phablet series with the launch of the Mi Max 3. There is also a 2.5D curved glass laid on the top.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM that ensures a seamless smartphone experience with performance increased by 40%. Sensors on Mi Max 3 include Accelerometer, gyro, e-compass, distance sensing, infrared remote control, hall mode, vibration sensor and ambient light sensors. The lens has a aperture of f/1.9 and the sensor has 1.4µm pixel size and has Dual PD focus. For selfies, the smartphone offers an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. Both new smartphones, apart from continuing the legacy of being a part of Google's Android One, will come with a thin-bezel screen. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor. The Mi Max 3 weighs 221g and has a thickness of 7.99mm. As of now, there is no information about the India launch date of the Mi Max 3 smartphone. Coming to the pricing, the Mi Max 3 with 4GB and 6GB of RAM is priced at 1699 Yuan and 1999 Yuan respectively.

Connectivity options on the Mi Max 3 include 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, GPOS/A-GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, a type-C USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
