Royals join RAF celebrations at Westminster Abbey

Duchess Kate was attending the celebration a day after she appeared at the Chapel Royal in St. James's Palace for the christening of her third baby, Prince Louis of Cambridge, who was born April 23.

There's a reason the Queen's hats match her outfits - it's apparently because she wants to be visible to the public when out on royal duty and bright colours help her achieve that.

Meghan wore a long-sleeved, full-skirted black Dior dress with a bateau neckline, topped off with a Stephen Jones fascinator.

Royal experts have continued to draw comparisons between the two women, ever since Kate and Prince William announced their engagement in 2010. It will be their first appearance together.

The Duchess kept up her signature nude lip look as well.

It's a festive week for the royal family. She wore a gorgeous pastel blue dress by Alexander McQueen with her RAF brooch pinned to her lapel.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex were among the royal party, as were Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.

Kate joined her husband and other members of the Royal Family for a service at Westminster Abbey followed by a presentation of new Queen's Colour to the Royal Air Force and a flypast viewed from the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

The Duchess of Cambridge is thought to have given a special nod to her late mother-in-law on Monday (July 9). The Duchess of Cambridge never bows out from re-wearing designer duds for royal outings and does so in the chicest manner.
