The young royal oozed cuteness in one of her favoured paisley print dresses as she was seen entering St James's Palace for the service alongside her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, older brother Prince George, 4, and little Prince Louis, eleven weeks. The three godmothers are Hannah Gillingham-one of Kate's school friends-cousin Lucy Middleton and Laura Meade, wife of Prince William's friend James Meade, who is Princess Charlotte's godfather.

She kept her eye on the press pack as she and the rest of the family headed off for a private afternoon tea at Clarence House.

The christening was the first time that the Cambridges have been seen as a family of five, as both Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended their little brother's big day.

The royal couple also named six close friends and family members to be godparents to Prince Louis, who was born in April. Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, went the Kate Middleton way of things and wore a single colour head to toe.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose hymns O Jesus, I Have Promised and Lord of All Hopefulness for the ceremony.

Her majesty the Queen was also in attendance dressed as stylishly as she always does in strong bold colours.

His elder brother George was also christened at the Chapel Royal, but sister Charlotte's christening was at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham.

Royal expert James Brookes said earlier that Prince William and Middleton would make a compromise at Prince Louis' christening.

The Queen and Prince Philip won't attend the christening. Harry donned a dark blue suit for the baptism while Markle rocked an olive green dress.
