Florida man with no arms accused of stabbing man with scissors

Crenshaw, 46, uses his feet to paint and allegedly used his feet again to stab tourist Cesar Coronado, 22, after midnight on Tuesday, the newspaper reports.

Crenshaw, who is homeless, is known in South Beach for painting canvases with his feet.

The report says Crenshaw stabbed Coronado twice with scissors, which he put back into his waistband and walked away.

Crenshaw was booked for battery charges on Tuesday night and his bond was set at $7,500, according to Miami-Dade Corrections.

The Miami Herald reports police found Coronado bleeding from his left arm.

According to the Miami Herald, Crenshaw, who is homeless, told Miami Beach police that he had been lying down when Coronado attacked him first, punching him in the head.

It is unclear when Crenshaw chose to come to Miami Beach, but a 2011 profile of the homeless man in the Miami New Times noted that he was born in Alabama and lived a transient life, moving from place-to-place with his mother. He was taken to a local hospital after officers found him lying on the floor.

The publication profiled Crenshaw in 2011 in which he told them he was born in Alabama but frequently moved with his family as a child.

Crenshaw has an extensive criminal past, including battery of law enforcement officers, according to local police. His court date will be on July18.
