Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh, and Megan Scraper were part of High On Life, a travel vlog with more than 1.1 million followers on Instagram and 500,500 YouTube subscribers.

Witnesses told Search and Rescue officials that Gamble and Lyakh followed Scraper into the pools to try and help her.

All three victims were well known social media professionals.

Search and rescue crews were to continue searching through the night for three hikers reported missing at Shannon Falls Provincial Park near Squamish, B.C. "Your bright personality will be greatly missed", one person wrote on Facebook.

The file has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.

John Willcox of Squamish SAR, said they have responded to a number of accidents in the pools, though adds that this is the first fatality he has responded to.

Sascha Banks said rescuers were able to locate the trio's bodies on Tuesday around 8:30 p.m.

After swimming in a pool at the top, the trio had walked along a ledge at the top of the falls before falling approximately 100 feet over the edge.

Gamble was among a group charged by Wyoming authorities in 2016 for leaving a boardwalk in Yellowstone National Park to get closer to the iconic Grand Prismatic Spring to photograph themselves.

"We've had a number of dogs that have gone into the water, and people that have slipped into the water as well". They were with a larger group of friends, when it's believed one slipped.

Heavy water flow and an extremely hard terrain were a challenge for the crew involved in the efforts.

"Unless you have the knowledge of that area, the expertise and the right equipment you should not be up there", Banks said.

Shannon Falls and any trails leading to the pool system at the top of the falls remained closed to the public on Wednesday.

Gamble and Lyakh attempted to save her but they also fell and got swept into the currents, according to the Vancouver Sun.
