Trump defends Jim Jordan amid allegations of sex abuse on wrestling team

Four former OSU wrestlers have now gone public with their stories, detailing alleged sexual molestation by Strauss during medical appointments to NBC News.

Jordan said he hasn't personally spoken with DiSabato since late March or April. Why he had a spokesman put out misinformation is frankly beyond comprehension, because is he the target of this? No.

DiSabato said he was first abused by Strauss at 14 as a high school wrestler. Wrestlers have said Strauss routinely showered with students and touched them inappropriately during exams. More recently, the athletic department at Michigan State University has come under scrutiny due to the fact that Larry Nassar, who has pled guilty to sexually abusing dozens of young women who were part of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics program, was also a team doctor and employee at that school. The caucus head, Mark Meadows, encouraged Jordan to run for House speaker to replace the departing Paul Ryan. Jim Jordan of knowing about sexual abuse when he was an assistant wrestling coach there.

In addition to stating that he had no knowledge of any reports of abuse during his time as a coach, Jordan has, as noted, said that he's never been contacted about these charges.

Fury said, "We have no record of a call". "Like we said in the statement, we've not been reached out to for an interview".

Jordan's spokesman repeated the denial Tuesday. The university has rightfully initiated a full investigation into the matter. "The speaker will await the findings of that inquiry".

Jordan, who served in the OH state legislature, was elected to the House in 2006 and has played a role in virtually every debate pitting conservative insurgents against House GOP leaders.

Jordan, a powerful Republican congressman from OH who is a member of the ultra-conservative House Freedom Caucus, was the assistant wrestling coach at the university from 1986 to 1994.

Couillard noted that the weather is expected to cool down by Friday but "we expect to have this kind of episode every year". The move is part of the federal government's climate change adaptation in expectation of more frequent heat events.

Jordan's spokesman says the congressman never saw or heard about any abuse or had any abuse reported when he was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State.

Strauss died in 2005, but in April the university announced it was opening an investigation into accusations he abused members of the wrestling team.

Shawn Dailey told NBC News he was groped several times by the team physician Dr. Richard Strauss.

"I participated with [Jordan] and the other wrestlers in locker-room talk about Strauss". "Jimmy said something to the extent of, 'If he tried that with me, I would kill him'". Sources tell Fox News that Jordan had previously forwarded the emails to Chief of Staff Kevin Eichinger and Jordan's attorney.

A source in Jordan's office, who described the emails as " weird, seemingly unhinged", told ABC News the lawmaker received the emails on his personal account and they were turned over by his staff to Capitol Police for their expert assessment.

Attempts to reach Yetts were not successful Tuesday. But those NBC News spoke with say that just isn't so.

An investigative team from Seattle-based Perkins Coie (coo-ey) emailed Jordan directly - but inaccurately - in May.
