Should you stick around after the credits?

A second post-credits scene implies San Francisco, Ant-Man's home base, is particularly hard-hit by Thanos' snap. Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym present an urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past. But since the film is out, numerous questions we've had since the release of Avengers: Infinity War have been answered - especially the one about how Ant-Man connects to Avengers 4.

Perhaps a nice nod to Avengers Infinity War rather than the actual manifestation of Thanos, this scene is nonetheless very unsettling. At a time when superhero cinema seems eager to test the limits of its dramatic stakes, here's a reminder that smaller stories can be just as satisfying.

The scene in question sees Ant-Man in the Quantum Realm trying to harvest quantum energy, while Hank, Hope and Janet are in contact from regularly sized reality back on Earth.

"Seriously, don't joke around, bring me up!" yells Scott, still in the quantum realm. So that's where we leave Scott: Stuck in the quantum realm, holding a big handful of "healing particles", and not sure what to do or even with a method of escape.

In the first scene we get a look at what Scott, Hope, Hank, and Jan have been up to in the time immediately after Jan's return.

Woman Confronts Scott Pruitt At DC Eatery
EPA administrator Scott Pruitt was having lunch at Teaism on Monday when a woman confronted him and urged him to resign. Pruitt remained silent while Mink spoke, according to the cellphone video shot by Mink's husband.

A mic check confirms they can hear him, even down there, and Scott successfully unleashes the particle.

Yes, Peyton Reed's highly anticipated sequel crawls into theaters this weekend and it comes complete with a Stan Lee cameo. We're taken to the Lang house-eerily deserted, with the TV cut to an emergency broadcasting channel.

As you might have already guessed, in the interim, Thanos' snap happens and the entire Van Dyne lineage doesn't feel so good.

So just how does Ant-Man and the Wasp set up Avengers 4 here, with Ant-Man trapped in the Quantum Realm?

The preview number easily surpasses the original "Ant-Man's" $6.4 million and tops the $9.4 million for "Doctor Strange" and $11 million for "Wonder Woman". Obviously, part of Avengers 4 is going to have to deal with Scott either getting out of or going further into the Quantum Realm.
