Bourdain was found dead in his hotel room on Friday in an apparent suicide.

The hotel staff then called the local gendarmerie, whose officers arrived quickly and sealed Bourdain's hotel room. It is tragic that someone who embraced life so much should choose to end his own.

But again, on Friday morning, Bourdain didn't join him at the table.

"Loneliness, separation from my daughter, existential despair".

"Every time he would walk on set I would always shout at him, 'In my next life I'm coming back as Anthony Bourdain!'" she said.

While working in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in the 1980s, Bourdain developed an addiction to heroin, or a "taste for chemicals", as he called it. "I saw nothing that would indicate what happened like why this would happen". You know, that was daddy, ain't no doubt about it.

In his book Medium Raw, the Parts Unknown presenter previously revealed being "aimless and regularly suicidal". Who knows? I should've died in my 20s.

Wang told Buzzfeed the donation would likely be between $50,000 and $60,000. "To have a man of his stature rise up and befriend me, it meant a lot to me".

Bourdain's death came a day after the New York City medical examiner determined designer Kate Spade's death earlier this week was a suicide.

The episode featured several scenes of him speaking with a therapist, where he opened up about how a hamburger could trigger his mood.

Bourdain says that it was through his relationship with Argento, he became aware of the way things were for women, particularly in the entertainment industry.
