Lyon Conclusively Rule Out Liverpool Move For Nabil Fekir

The two clubs had been discussing a deal for the playmaker worth 60m euros (£52.75m) - 55m (£48.35m) plus a maximum of 5m (£4.4m) add-ons.

Lyon announce that they have ended negotiations with Liverpool over Nabil Fekir.

Their statement read as follows: "The information on the transfer of Nabil Fekir is false".

"Lyon is announcing that the negotiations with Liverpool and Nabil Fekir for the transfer of the Lyon captain have not succeeded and Lyon have chose to put an end to the negotiations tonight at 8 p.m", the statement read.

France forward Fekir has always been linked with a big-money move to Anfield and enjoyed a stellar campaign in France's top flight this season - scoring 18 goals and supplying a further eight assists.

A product of Lyon's successful youth academy, the skillful forward has 58 goals in 161 games for Lyon.

The Reds have already secured the services of Naby Keita for next season and recently added Monaco's Fabinho to their midfield.
