Sister of Dutch queen dies aged 33 in Argentina

The 33-year-old Ines Zorreguieta was found dead in her Buenos Aires apartment on Wednesday.

Her father, Jorge Horacio Zorreguieta, died a year ago in Buenos Aires aged 89.

Tributes were paid to her on an Instagram video her brother Martin posted previous year of his "very attractive and talented little sister" singing and playing the guitar.

Queen Maxima, a native of Argentina, married Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander in 2002 and have three children together.

Inés Zorreguieta, 33, who worked as a researcher at the United Nations in Panama and was also a talented guitarist, was reported to have taken her own life by Argentinian and Dutch media. It is intensely sad and heartbreaking news that can hardly be comprehended for those who stay behind. Zorreguieta worked as a civil servant in Buenos Aires and was a guitarist.

"With our hearts and our thoughts we are with the queen and her family". Dutch News reported she canceled a visit to Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia following the news of her sister's passing.

She's also a godmother to Princess Ariane, now 11 - the third and youngest daughter of the Dutch royals.
