"The Xbox Adaptive Controller represents the positive impact technology can have, when that technology is created to include as many people as possible".

On top of all the customizability allowed by the Adaptive Controller, there's also support for Microsoft's Copilot technology, which links two controllers together to act as a single input in games.

Microsoft says that the device came together with advice from gamers as well as accessibility advocates, and with efforts at hackathons that it held in 2015 and 2016.

However, the people over at Microsoft have chose to do their bit to tackle that issue and have developed a new Xbox Adaptive Controller which is a device created to work with various peripherals and make more Windows 10 and Xbox One games accessible for people with disabilities.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller will be available later this year for USD$99.99 (pricing for other territories is yet-to-be-confirmed). But the rest of the controls found on a standard Xbox controller are given over to a row of 3.5mm jacks at the back - one for each individual controller input, from triggers to menu buttons.

Michigan State University reach $724 million settlement with Nassar victims
Michigan State and lawyers for 332 victims announced the deal after negotiating privately with the help of a mediator. In 2014, the university determined that his "pelvic floor" treatments were medically legitimate , despite complaints.

The Xbox Adaptive Controller has been developed with the assistance of associations around the world, including AbleGamers, SpecialEffect, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, and Warfighter Engaged.

Giving them the ability to put the controller where they need to have it was a really important aspect of the design, said Chris Kujawski, a senior designer who worked on the project. Where the Adaptive Controller earns its name is in how it connects to a huge range of other input devices, such as joysticks, buttons, switches, foot pedals, mouth pieces, and conventional controllers.

That's the cost of the adaptive controller itself. The company will talk more about this device at E3 which will take place in just a few weeks away.
