As the name would suggest, the Fortnite x Avengers LTM was a mashup between the Battle Royale game and the recently released Avengers: Infinity War film.

Infinity War is still playing in cinemas so its final gross is expected to be higher, making it a tough act for any movie to follow... at least until the fourth Avengers flick comes along next year. The Saturday gross of $77.49 million is the best single day gross ever of all-time for a foreign film in China. In recent years, China has become a much-coveted market for Hollywood films and a quick look at the numbers illustrates why - last year alone China contributed $3.4 billion dollars to North American films.

In just two and a half weeks since it opened here, Infinity War has broken records to become Singapore's No. 1 movie of all time.

Infinity War posted the biggest opening days in South Korea ($39.2 million), Mexico ($25.1 million), Brazil ($18.8 million), the Philippines ($12.5 million), Thailand ($10 million), Indonesia ($9.6 million) and Malaysia ($8.4 million).

That makes it now the fifth highest grossing film of all time worldwide, with room to carry on moving up the ranks.

"Continued congratulations to our friends Joe and Anthony Russo, Kevin Feige, and the teams at Disney and Marvel as Avengers: Infinity War continues to shatter expectations every step of the way and in every territory", said Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment and Senior Executive Vice President, IMAX Corp.

So far, the film has earned $1.6 billion dollars worldwide. All that remained left to save the day was the original Avengers and Rocket Raccoon, but what can they do against the Great Titan, Thanos?

Right off the bat you can safely assume that Avengers: Infinity War (which is only in it's third week of release) has another $70 million in the tank, so it will easily hop over Jurassic World to take the number 4 all-time slot.

Now, trade pundits and box-office enthusiasts are waiting with bated breath to see if AIW will touch the $2 billion mark in global total and join the company of Avatar, Titanic and Force Awakens.
