Apple reportedly has committed at least $1 billion to creating original video content, engaging recently hired executives from the TV world to develop roughly a dozen shows consistent with the company's optimistic, family-friendly brand.

Cook has previously said that because Apple profits from selling its products rather than user information, his company is safe from privacy scandals like the one dogging Facebook.

"Fearless, like the students of Parkland, Florida, who refused to be silent about the epidemic of gun violence and have rallied millions to their cause", he said.

While Mr Cook acknowledged that there were downsides to America's current trading relationship with China, he told Bloomberg: "It's true, undoubtedly true, that not everyone has been advantaged from that, in either country, and we've got to work on that". "Duke graduates, be fearless!"

"Our country is deeply divided, and too many Americans refuse to hear any opinion that differs from their own".

"Our planet is warming with devastating consequences, and there are some who deny that it's even happening". We fail to guarantee every student the right to a good education.

However, Cook emphasized that tariffs weren't the solution to the problems in the Chinese-American trade relationship.

Apple generated $35 billion in revenue from the Americas in the most recent holiday quarter, while sales in China reached nearly $18 billion.

Closer to home, Cook said he asked the president to find a resolution for undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S.as children. "The pace at which progress is possible has accelerated dramatically".

Cook himself graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1982 before receiving his Master of Business Administration from Duke in 1988.

Well, Cook's speech encapsulated everything from climate change and its effect to Apple's use of the renewable energy and certainly telling the graduates how important an obligation it is for them to leave the world a better place than they had found it.

Well college days are certainly special to every individual and it's those days that shape an individual to be a flawless fit for the corporate world.
