Bounce house safety back in spotlight after boy blown onto California highway

A bounce house blew from a residential Adelanto neighborhood onto traffic lanes of Highway 395 on Saturday, leaving a child with minor injuries and a driver shaken up.

This is not the first time that a bounce house went airborne with terrified children inside. The child was left with minor injuries.

The bounce house had been inflated at a nearby home where the child was playing when it started rolling towards the highway.

"The kid got lucky", he remarked to the publication, adding that it may have been a "freak accident" caused by the powerful winds.

Officials said the child was inside and fell out after the bounce house rolled onto Highway 395 and hit a vehicle traveling southbound.

A California boy stepped into a bounce house and ended up on a roller coaster ride. Inside the bounce house was the 9-year-old child. Police said the driver of the auto that struck the bounce house was also shaken up, but not injured.

In 2014, two upstate NY boys were thrown from a bounce house from 20 feet in the air.
