Neil Gaiman has released an official video announcing the start of production for the much anticipated second series of the hit Prime Original series, American Gods. The meeting at the Carousel Room (pictured below) is regarded as one of the more standout moments from the book. In the teaser below, Gaiman shows off The House on the Rock-an essential location from Gaiman's source material that will be included in the second season. World, Cloris Leachman as Zorya Vechernyaya, Peter Stormare as Czernobog, Mousa Kraish as The Jinn, Omid Abtahi as Salim, Chris Obi as Anubis, and Demore Barnes as Mr. Ibis. The plot posits a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society's modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. FMNA's Stefanie Berk is executive producing the series along with Neil Gaiman, Ian McShane, Craig Cegielski and Scott Hornbacher. SVP Original Programming Marta Fernandez and Manager of Original Programming Kathleen Clifford are the Starz execs in charge.
